Cesky Telecom (CT) has introduced a discount of up to 51 per cent (from CZK 1,420 to CZK 799) for the Internet Express broadband service. "With the new Internet Express Optimal tariffs we are meeting the demands of our customers, enabling them to get broadband Internet access at a higher speed for a lower price," stated Simon Burckhardt, Chief Marketing Officer, "That is why, for those who sign a one-year service agreement, we have reduced the activation fee to 1 Koruna and, as a bonus, one of the twelve monthly payments will be only 1 Koruna instead of the regular 799," added Mr. Burckhardt. Charges include VAT (22 per cent).
CT also introduced two other discounts as well. There is a discount that gives 20 per cent off end-user terminals. The operator now offers broadband modems with USB interfaces for CZK 799 (ex VAT). There is also a discount for connecting to a PSTN line at CZK 99 (incl. VAT), a reduction of 97 per cent according to the operator. Furthermore, there are 60 free minutes of local and long distance included in the deal. The minutes are to be used over a period of three months.
