Fed: Parcel restrictions puts a limit on love, says Crean
Federal Opposition leader SIMON CREAN has called for the strictly-enforced one-kilogramlimit on parcels to troops in the Persian Gulf to be lifted.
He says this will allow families to send home-made fruitcakes to their loved ones.
Mr CREAN has told families at a garden party for defence force families in Brisbanethat he will be throwing his weight behind the bid for bigger cakes and more goodies fromhome.
Mr CREAN has declined to say what the limit should be, but says many families he hasspoken to want to send more home comforts such as cakes and toiletries to their sons anddaughters.
