Vic: Workers lose job after company put into receivership = 2

Union organiser Jarred Smith said Brush told day shift workers on Tuesday not to return
to work today, but did not inform afternoon or night shift employees - relying instead
on workers to pass on the message.

The company has been placed in the hands of receiver Joseph Loebenstein from Green and Sternfeld.

Brush is a textile dyeing company whose customers include textile companies in Melbourne
and regional Victoria.

The company's Abbotsford premises were locked today but employees were told to return
tomorrow to collect separation certificates.

The 90 employees are owed a week's wages and six months of superannuation payments.

Mr Smith said the company's major creditors included the ANZ Bank.

Receivers and union officials were still tallying up the extent of Brush's debts.
