Fed: Vote for One Nation a vote for Labor Cabinet

Senior federal frontbenchers say the West Australian election result proves that a
vote for One Nation will help Labor surf into government at the next federal poll.

Cabinet members meeting in Sydney warned voters to seriously consider how they allocate
their preferences in this year's federal election.

One Nation preferences helped wipe out RICHARD COURT'S coalition government in the
WA weekend election.

Treasurer PETER COSTELLO says a vote for One Nation is a vote for a Labor government
and Western Australia illustrates it.

He says people who vote for One Nation should be under no misapprehension that that
is what it leads to.

Foreign Minister ALEXANDER DOWNER and Workplace Relations Minister TONY ABBOTT both
say would-be One Nation voters should consider the impact of their votes.
