Qld: Last compo bid from D'Arcy victims
BRISBANE, Feb 7 AAP - Two victims of former politician and paedophile Bill D'Arcy todaybroke down in the witness stand during their last-ditch attempt to seek compensation of$250,000 each.
The women have previously lost claims against the state government and the Queenslandeducation minister through the District Court in Brisbane, and are now suing D'Arcy himself.
The offences took place in a country Queensland school between 1963 and 1965, whereD'Arcy was a teacher and raped one of the women in front of her class.
They are seeking compensation for psychological injury and personal indignity.
