SA: Lees welcomes report on tax measures
ADELAIDE, Feb 3 AAP - The Australian Democrats today welcomed the first official economic
modelling of the federal government's tax package saying it vindicated their stand to exempt
food from the GST.
The report, prepared by Professor Peter Dixon from Monash University's Centre of Policy
Studies, found that removing food from the new tax measure could increase employment slightly.
