NSW:Ombudsman won't intervene in alleged Crowe cover-up case
SYDNEY, Jan 17 AAP - The NSW Ombudsman's office has refused to intervene in an internalpolice investigation into the alleged cover-up of actor Russell Crowe's involvement ina Coffs Harbour brawl.
The case is currently in the hands of NSW Assistant Commissioner Peter Walsh who willallocate it to a suitable investigator.
A complaint to the NSW Ombudsman was initially lodged on July 16 by the owner of theCoffs Harbour club where the fight took place, Malcolm Mercer, and his friend PhillipCropper.
